BR OBA Open Wagon Low Ends EWS (Unbranded) No. 110353

BR OBA Open Wagon Low Ends EWS (Unbranded) No. 110353

Designed as a replacement for the Tube Wagons – many of which BR had inherited at Nationalisation or built themselves during the early-BR period – the OBA Open Wagon was designed to transport general merchandise. Large side doors aided loading and various tethering points were integrated into the floors of these air-braked wagons. The Graham Farish model is available with Low or High Ends – this particular example depicts a wagon with Low Ends – and features fine mouldings throughout, in particular the door stops, separately fitted brake equipment and handbrake levers, and metal buffer heads.
