ACC3543 8750 Class Pannier Tank GWR Green Shirtbutton No.3608 Steam Locomotive

Expected Delivery Q2 2027 (Subject to Change at Manufacturer's Discretion).

Completed at Swindon on the 2nd of Feb 1939 as part of Lot 314, was new to Oxford shed. Another of the type to have the more modern cab fitted as part of the “8750” variant, this had many of the later features you would associate with the type, such as the bunker steps and later type fillers. It was however built before the fitting of top feed and this would be added later. Another engine that would spend most of its life around one shed, it would not be reallocated until 1958 when it was moved to Slough (81B). 3608 would move around the London area sheds, Old Oak (81A) first, then finally Southall (81C) where it would be withdrawn from in June 1965.
